These are a few snaps from the first walk this year from Monaco west to Cap Mala along the seaside promenade. It’s a popular spot for walking and running and is best on a windy and cloudy day at or near sunset. Above is the view towards Beaulieu-sur-Mer from Cap d’Ail as the sun was setting.
Below is further left or just south from the shot above, taking in the peninsula that’s home to Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, one of the most expensive residential areas on the planet.

And this, a look back towards a small peninsula about half a kilometer from the Cap d’Ail port and the border with Monaco.

And birds?
Just one: a Great Cormorant, preening, soaking and shaking off of Marquet Beach, near the Port de Cap d’Ail.

As mentioned in a prevous post, about the promenade walk as per my brief AllTrails description:
Suggestion for day-trippers: instead of circling back to Monaco, you can walk up from Cap Mala and find your way to the Cap dโAil train station โ via some fairly posh neighbourhoods and historic villas โ and head back to Nice and all points west from there. Itโll provide a much more pleasant, peaceful and pensive departure from the Principality.
