In Genoa, Ventimiglia and Rome.

And above, in between, a mid-morning view of Alassio, a town on the Ligurian coast about 80 km east of the border with France. The island near the center of the photo is Gallinara, protected as the Riserva Naturale Regionale dell’Isola Gallinara. It’s a shelter for the herring gull, home to one of the bird’s largest colonies in the Mediterranean.
