Seven shots from a quick visit to Ljubljana last week, mostly in and near the central Tivoli Park.
Above is Tivoli mansion, which sits at the terminus of the park’s Jakopič Promenade. Built in the 17th century atop the ruins of Renaissance-period castle, it took on its current Neoclassical look after a renovation in the 1850s by Hapsburg Marshal Joseph Radetzky, to whom the mansion was gifted by Austrian emperor Franz Joseph I. It’s presently home to the International Centre of Graphic Arts.
The snow in the image below was the closest to a ‘wintery’ scene spotted in the Slovenian capital that week.
