Arbol Bandera, Tierra del Fuego

This is what locals call an arbol bandera, or flag tree, a name stemming from the shape itโ€™s given by the relentless pounding of ceaseless wind. I hugged the one on the right.

This in near the Estancia Harberton on the Beagle Channel, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina, about 85 kilometers east of Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world. One more below.
