Another entry for the ‘The French Love Books and France Still Loves Supporting Local Bookstores’ series, this time the Librairie Actes Sud in Arles.

Besides its relationship with Van Gogh, the biggest draw in Arles these days is the annual Les Rencontres d’Arles, quite likely the world’s premier annual summer photography festival. (A post about a part of that is here.) So, much of what Librairie Actes Sud offers is on the photography theme, big beautiful photo books which I’d love to own but no longer have room for on my shelves so I’m forced to linger at bookstores consuming what I can. It was a wholly entertaining indulgence.
